Aerial view of the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum

In August 2011 the Snowbird Human-Powered Ornithopter was brought to the Canadian Aviation and Space Museum to be put on permanent display. It is a great honour for the team and the project to find a home in Canada’s most prestigious aviation museum.

The exhibit is being prepared for an official unveiling within the coming year. The Snowbird will be hung along side its predecessor, “Mr. Bill”, which became the first successful engine-powered, radio-controlled ornithopter in 1991.
